Our Care Partners are thoroughly screened and must meet all our guidelines for employment:

  • Comprehensive background investigation
  • Professional and personal reference checks
  • Drug screen – JTHC is a drug-free workplace
  • DMV record check – must have a clean driving record
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Personal vehicle with current registration and insurance

At Journey Together Home Care, we provide all necessary training to prepare our Care Team to serve, as well as continuing education along the way. You bring the caregiving heart, and we will journey together with you to set you up for success.

Earn Extra Pay!

Shift Differential – Extra pay for short shifts.

1hr shift = 2 ½ hours pay, 2hr shift = 3 hours pay, 3hr shift = 3 ½ hours pay

On-call Overnight – 4hrs serving / 8hrs sleep = 12hrs total time and overnight pay rate

Gas Supplement – $4 / per shift served


Get Cash Rewards!

Anniversary Bonus is $0.50 / hour worked during prior year (unlimited)

Three to Six Years, Double Anniversary Bonus is $1.00 / hour worked during prior year

Seven Years and beyond, Triple Anniversary Bonus is $1.50 / hour worked during prior year

Referral Bonus – $500 for referral for newly hired Care Partner – must complete 90 days of employment


Training Included!

Training – Required: Mandatory In-Service Training (12hrs annually)– paid at hourly rate

Shadow Training Shifts with Clients – paid at hourly rate

Supplemental Training Opportunities – fees paid by JTHC

Personal Care Training is for credentialing purposes and provided at NO COST, therefore it is NOT A PAID TRAINING since JTHC is paying for your training.


Applicant Screening & Employment Requirements

Credential Verifications – Paid by JTHC:

Criminal Background Check

Driving Record Check – initial and annually thereafter

Drug Testing – initial and random screening




Flexible Scheduling

Flexible Schedule – Based on Approved Availability

Weekends: required minimum availability is 4 of 8 weekend days per month (Saturdays only or Sundays only or every other weekend)

Students – submit semester schedule for approval.  JTHC desires to support the educational goals of our Care Partners.
